Job Description
Position Overview The Channel Sales Head / VP – South India will be responsible for building, scaling, and managing the channel partner ecosystem across AP, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. The role focuses on appointing and driving Regional Distributors (RDs), Integrated Service Providers (ISPs), and Direct Sales Agencies (DSAs) to accelerate revenue growth in EV Charging, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Role & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
1. Channel Strategy & Expansion
Design and implement channel sales strategy for South India.
Identify and onboard:
Regional Distributors (RDs)
Integrated Service Providers (ISPs)
Direct Sales Agencies (DSAs)
Define territory mapping and exclusivity structures.
Develop go-to-market (GTM) plans for each state.
2. Partner Acquisition & Onboarding
Drive end-to-end partner lifecycle:
Identification → Evaluation → Negotiation → Closure
Build a strong pipeline of:
EPC companies
Electrical contractors
Infra developers
Energy solution providers
Ensure partners meet financial, technical, and operational criteria.
3. Revenue & Business Growth
Own and deliver regional revenue targets.
Drive sales across:
EV Chargers (AC & DC)
Solar (Rooftop & C&I)
BESS (Residential & Commercial)
Enable partners to achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
Develop large deal closures via channel network.
4. Partner Enablement & Training
Create and execute training programs:
Product training (EV, Solar, BESS)
Sales pitch & positioning
Financial models (ROI, payback)
Support partners with:
Marketing collaterals
Technical proposals
Demo & pilot projects
5. Performance Management
Track and manage:
Partner performance KPIs
Sales funnel and conversion ratios
Implement incentive structures and growth plans.
Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with partners.
6. Market Development
Identify new opportunities in:
EV infrastructure
Commercial & industrial solar
Energy storage solutions
Build relationships with:
Government bodies
Corporates & real estate developers
Monitor competition and pricing strategies.
7. Leadership & Team Management
Build and lead state-level sales teams.
Mentor regional managers and channel executives.
Drive a high-performance sales culture.
Key Deliverables (KPIs)
Number of RD / ISP / DSA appointments per quarter
Regional revenue achievement (monthly/quarterly)
Partner productivity (revenue per partner)
Conversion ratio from pipeline to closure
Market penetration across target segments

Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering / Business (MBA preferred)
10–18 years of experience in:
Channel sales / distribution
Renewable energy / EV / electrical industry
Proven track record of:
Building large channel networks
Scaling regional sales operations
Skills & Competencies

Deep understanding of:
